How to get to Pergamon Ruins by train from Ankara?

Pergamon is 600 km away from Ankara. Train will be a comfortable way with one night at sleeper.

You’ll get to Eskişehir by HST and then take overnight train to İzmir. You can continue to Pergamon any time you want.

Go to Ankara train station.

Take Ankara-Eskisehir (YHT) train to Eskişehir. It’ll take about 01:30 hours (249 km). Please also check Istanbul-Ankara (YHT) train as alternative.

Take Izmir Mavi (Ankara-Izmir) train to Menemen. It’ll take about 12:15 hours (542 km).

Take Izban suburban train to Aliağa. It’ll take about 20 minutes (25 km).

Pergamon Acropolis is next to Bergama town, on the top of Kale Hill. Transportation to acropolis is by cable car. There is a bus service to Bergama from Aliağa Station (bus no: 835). Last stop of the bus is Bergama, very close to city center. It’s possible to walk to cable car station from there (2 km).
