How to get to Catalhoyuk Ruins by train?

The ancient Anatolian city from BS 7400.

Catalhoyuk, being founded 9000 years ago, is one of the first cities on earth. It’s among earliest examples of transition from villages to cities and agriculturist societies.

Catalhoyuk is in Konya province, 52 km southeast of city center, 13 km from closest town, Cumra. The closest train station is Çumra Station.

There’s no regular public transport service to Çatalhöyük. During summer, there’s minibus service between between Çumra and ruins. For rest of the time, agreeing with a taxi at Çumra for a roundtrip transport is the best option.

See direction map from station to Catalhoyuk Ruins below in Google Maps:

Çatalhöyük is on the way to Küçükköy village. If you prefer hitchhike, you’ll need to walk about 250 meters to enterance.

It’s also possible to rent a car or agree with a taxi for a roundtrip transport at Konya.
