How to get to Cappadocia by train from İstanbul?

Cappadocia is about 750 km away from Istanbul. Train is a little complex with many interchanges, but entertaining if you want to spend some time at cities on way.

You’ll use high speed train to Ankara and another train to Kayseri. Trains departing before noon from Ankara may take you to Kayseri in a reasonable time.

Nevşehir Municipality

Go to Pendik train station.

Take İstanbul Ankara YHT to Ankara.

Take Güney Kurtalan Ekspresi (Ankara Kurtalan treni) to Kayseri. Please also check Vangolu Express (Ankara Tatvan train) and Dogu Express (Ankara Kars train) as alternative.

Rest in a hotel. Click for public transport, hotels around and more information about train station.

Cappadocia is in Central Anatolia, within the province of Nevsehir, very close to Kayseri. Kayseri Bus Terminal is 8 km away from train station. You can go there by bus or tram. Nevsehir is 70 km away, and there are bus services almost every hour during day. Cappadocia is very close Nevsehir (13 km) and transport to main destinations and towns in the region (Urgup, Goreme, Ihlara Valley, Uchisar, Avanos and Zelve) is very easy with minibuses running very frequently during day.
