How to get to Ani Ruins by train from İstanbul?

Ani ruins are about 1500 km away from İstanbul, and most practical travel is of course by plane. On the other hand, if you prefer train, you’ll have the chance to discover Turkey’s most popular train route, Ankara-Kars.

You’ll use high speed train and overnight train (better in sleeper) which will last more than one day in total. You have to spend one night at a hotel in Kars.
