Haydarpasa Train Station is the main train station in Asian side of Istanbul. It used to be the main station for trains going in eastern direction, but there’s no train connection due to engineering works.
The station is one of the oldest, and most beautiful stations of Turkey (see Haydarpasa in Telegraph’s “Most Spectacular Railway Stations” List).
Haydarpasa Station is in the Asian side of Istanbul, next to Kadikoy.
Haydarpasa Station is in walking distance to bus and dolmus (to many locations in Asian side), ferry (to European side) and metro connections at Kadikoy.
There are many hotels, shops and restaurants in Kadikoy, all in walking distance.
Haydarpasa Station is currently not connected to national rail network, thus there’s no rail service via this station.
By the end of 2018, the station is expected be the main station for high speed and main line trains departing from Istanbul in eastern direction.
The ticket office is open between 08:00-19:00. Phone is +90 (216) 336 20 63.
Travel passes are available at Haydarpasa Station.
